Trump Administration is at the Forefront of Technology

The Trump Administration, for the past four years, has been dedicating to strengthening American leadership in artificial intelligence (AI). The Trump Administration has recognized the strategic importance of AI in the Nation’s future economy and security. The administration has a commitment to doubling AI research investment. White House Establishes AI Initiative Office

Recently, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) established the National Artificial Intelligence Initiative Office which builds up the critical foundation the Trump Administration has set up. This new initiative further accelerates its efforts to ensure America’s leadership in this pertinent field for years to come. Overseeing and putting in place the U.S. national AI strategy, the office has this role. It will serve as the main hub for Federal coordination and collaboration in AI research as well as policymaking across the government. In addition, to the private sector, academia, and other stakeholders.

Established in accordance with the recently passed National Artificial Intelligence Initiative Act of 2020 was the National AI Initiative Office. The act also codified into law and expanded many existing AI policies. This act demonstrates strong bipartisan support for the administration’s longstanding effort. Launched by the White House in 2018, the Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence. This coordinates the Federal AI efforts. It is expanding and going to be permanent. This will serve as the senior interagency body in the Act that is responsible for overseeing the National AI Inititiative.
