Heading over to the company’s website, it is also seen that its Model X SUV is also $5,000 less, now listing at $79,990 as opposed to its previous price at $84,990. Differently, the more compact and more recent Model 3 sedan sees Tesla’s smallest markdown at $37,990, showing a $2,000 price difference. Performance starts at $54,990 while Long Range charge sits at $46,990.
Tesla Drops Other Vehicle Prices.
Also receiving a larger $5,000 drop-in price are the Upgraded Performance Models S and X – and these are not the only changes: as Tesla says it will no longer offer its Supercharger quick-charging service for free. This is targeted specifically at new customers of its Model S sedans and its Model X SUV’s.
Overall, several auto companies, including General Motors, Fiat, and Ford, have concentrated efforts for re-opening. They are also offering incentives to buyers like deferred payment and 0% financing. These incentives may be a response not only to the Pandemic but also to United States auto sales nearly half plummeting from April last year – as reported by J.D. Powers. Speculation states that May will produce more buying, the company projects.
