U.S. troops have been formally approving by President Joe Biden with the deployment of 3,000 troops. The troops will be sending to Poland, Germany, and Romania. Moreover, the Pentagon did announce this on Wednesday. In fact, it is a move to bolster NATO countries in Eastern Europe with tens of thousands of Russian troops that are amassing along the Ukraine border.

U.S. Troops and NATO Allies

It was first reported the deployments to Eastern Europe are a show of support to NATO allies. They were feeling threatened by Russia’s military moves which are near Ukraine and there is a threat of an invasion, U.S. officials have said.

Deployment of Troops

The deployments do include approximately 2,000 troops. This is what Pentagon press secretary John Kirby has stated. In fact, they would deploy for the United States to Poland and Germany. Also, roughly 1,000 troops that are presently based in Germany were going to be moving to Romania.

The moves are not permanent and emphasized, Kirby said, though they would happen in the coming days. “In fact, these forces are not going to fight in Ukraine.”

U.S. Troops: Invasion of Ukraine

Also, this move is considering a significant sign. The fact that the U.S. is going to prepare for the prospect of Russian Vladimir Putin. It would be to launch an invasion of Ukraine. Plus Russia has not shown there are signs of de-escalating after many rounds of diplomatic talks with the U.S. and NATO.

Also, Biden did sign off on the additional troops. This was during a meeting on Tuesday morning at the White House. It was with Secretary Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Mark Milley. This is what the official said.

Pump up Tension in Europe

Dmitry Peskov, a Kremlin spokesman, said in an exclusive statement. It was later on Wednesday is that the “U.S. de factor is continuing to pump up the tension in Europe.” Therefore, Peskov has said the deployments are “the best proof that we, like with Russia, it has an obvious reason to be worried.”
