National Wreath Across America Day Honors Veterans

National Wreath Across America Day will take place on December 19th. It is a tribute to veterans of the armed forces. Flower Mound Presbyterian Cemetery will be part of the National Wreaths Across America Day.

Therefore, the cemetery will participate in this national event for the first time this year.

National Wreath Across America Day is Involves by NSDAR

In an effort to support the mission to remember, honor, and teach, The Flower Mound Chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) will be joining.

More than 2,100 participating locations placing wreaths on National Wreaths Across America Day with more than two volunteers will be coming together this year.

Raising Funds to Place Veterans Wreaths on Headstones of Local Heroes

Therefore, the goal is to raise enough money to place 210 veterans’ wreaths on the headstones of all the local heroes laid to rest there. To also ensure that individuals who have served to protect the freedoms of our country never be forgotten. Thus, to bring the community together in a patriotic commemoration. In turn, The Flower Mount Chapter NSDAR and Flower Mound Presbyterian Cemetery are participating in this fundraising effort.

The Value of Remembering the Fallen, Honoring Those who Currently Serve

“We are eternally grateful for the thousands of supporters who dedicate their time and effort to fulfilling our mission on a local level,” said Karen Worcester, executive director of Wreaths Across America. “These individuals and their communities know the value of remembering the fallen. They are also honoring those who currently serve. Moreover, teach the next generation about the sacrifices made for our freedom every day. Without their continued support, Wreaths Across America would not exist.”
