This Mustang introduces itself with an all-wheel-drive and 333 horsepower. There is a range of 270 miles per charge and a boost of zero to sixty in only five seconds. Early reviews seem to deem the Mach-E as a “dream to drive.”

This new electric vehicle has three different modes of movement. Whisper, Engage and Unbridled each have something to show for their respective driving experiences. Whisper tends to be the softest while Unbridled takes pride in being the loudest. Engage is as middle-of-the-road as you can get between the two extremes. Yet, still… It drives like a Mustang should.

It’s surprising, most of all, that the Mach-E is a five-person crossover SUV.

Though with wide visibility from the A-pillar to the front-end, this Mustang outdoes all the other dangerous SUVs on the market. With that in mind, it’s also almost child-proof as this particular Mustang doesn’t have any visible handlebars to open the doors with.

This SUV does come as a bit high-maintenance when it comes to charging. Your best bet is to use the FordPass Charging Network but as far as using a normal 120-volt outlet, it tends to only add 3 miles’ worth for every hour of charging. Not great.

eMost versions of the Mach-E are supposed to have Level 2 autonomy which is to say an autonomous driver assist system can give it hands-free driving on the highway. But it’s not likely to come too soon as the automaker is still working out all the kinks.

The standard version of the car comes with all the toppings you can choose to use or ignore. Including the blindspot detection, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking.

All the basic advanced driver assist functions aside, this car probably is lovely to navigate in. But is it worthwhile in the long-run?

Who really knows? Well, maybe the guys from Top Gear do.
